Refund, Cancellation & Print Policy
How cancellations, refunds, revisions and print problems are handled when you order personalised artwork from picturekind. Nothing in this policy replaces or reduces your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
Who we are
picturekind is operated by Oscar Edwards, a sole trader trading as picturekind, at 15 Woodland View, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, MK12 5EG, United Kingdom. Email: hello@picturekind.co.uk.
Before production begins
If your photographs are unsuitable and workable replacements are not supplied, picturekind may cancel the commission and refund the amount paid. If you ask to cancel before production begins and a statutory cancellation right applies, we will process the cancellation in accordance with that right.
Starting during a cancellation period
Where the law gives you a 14-day cancellation period for a service, checkout may ask you to expressly request that work begins during that period. If you make that request and later cancel before the service is fully performed, we may be entitled to retain or charge only a proportionate amount for work already carried out, in line with consumer law.
Where all legal requirements are met, the right to cancel a service can end once the service has been fully performed. Separate rules apply to digital content supplied by download, including express consent to immediate supply and acknowledgement of the effect on cancellation rights where required.
Personalised goods
Physical prints made specifically from your approved personalised artwork are normally excluded from the standard change-of-mind cancellation right because they are made to your specification. This does not affect your rights where the print is faulty, damaged, not as described or does not match the approved artwork.
Proofs and revisions
- Proofs are provided privately for review.
- The product description states the revision allowance included in your order.
- Where one consolidated revision is included, requested changes should be submitted together.
- Replacement source photographs, additional subjects, a substantially new composition, a different style or further preference changes may require a separate quote.
- Silence is not approval.
Approval and final delivery
Final files are released only after you explicitly approve the latest proof. Approval confirms acceptance of the visible composition and requested details in that version, but it does not remove your statutory rights if the delivered final is faulty, technically defective, not as described or materially different from the approved proof.
Digital problems
If a digital file is technically defective, materially different from the approved proof or not supplied with reasonable care and skill, contact us promptly. We will first try to correct or replace the file where that is an appropriate remedy. If the problem cannot be put right within a reasonable time or without significant inconvenience, you may have a right to a price reduction or refund under consumer law.
Physical print problems
If a print arrives damaged, faulty, materially different from the approved artwork or not as described, email us promptly at hello@picturekind.co.uk with your order number and clear photographs of the issue where possible. We will arrange the appropriate repair, replacement, price reduction or refund required by law.
